New Zealand tennis players Marina Erakovic and Artem Sitak have cleared their first round matches at tournaments in the United States.
Erakovic beat Brazilian Roxanne Vaisemberg 1-6 6-1 6-2 to book a second round meeting with America Madison Brengle at a women's ITF tournament at Pelham, Alabama.
In Oklahoma City, Sitak advanced to a second round meeting with Britain's Alex Bogdanovic after knocking out American Bjorn Fratangelo 6-2 7-6.
Sitak and partner South African Raven Klaasen are also through to the semi-finals in the doubles after a 6-4 4-6 10-5 victory over Americans Blake Strode and Christian Welte.
