Rising New Zealand tennis star Marina Erakovic has reached the last 16 of the junior girls' singles at Wimbledon.
The Auckland 17-year-old beat Russia's Evgeniya Rodina 6-3 6-3 in London overnight (NZ time) and now plays Austrian Tamira Paszek.
Erakovic made the quarterfinals of the singles and doubles final of junior Wimbledon last year.
New Zealand's other representative, Canterbury's Ellen Barry, 16, was beaten 6-0 6-2 by Russia's Alisa Kleybanova.
It was Barry's first appearance at junior Wimbledon.
