KEY POINTS:
Ukraine's Alona Bondarenko has gained revenge on New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic.
The eighth seed has beaten Erakovic 3-6 6-4 6-3 in the second round of the WTA tournament in Rosmalen, Holland.
Erakovic had knocked Bondarenko out of the Birmingham WTA tournament last week.
Meanwhile, in spite of a big rise in the tennis rankings and a guaranteed $26,000 cheque even for a first round loss at Wimbledon, Erakovic is still eligible to receive funding from the SEED Foundation.
Erakovic has been invited to submit an application for the next round of funding although she is not guaranteed acceptance.
Despite earning more than $120,000 in prize money so far this year, Erakovic's income is not high enough yet.
The SEED Foundation's Brenda Perry says her expenses still outweigh her earnings.
Perry says if they deem Erakovic financially independent, they do not have to offer the money she would get to anyone else.
She says the recipients must be exceptional.
Sasha Jones has also been offered the chance to reapply ahead of Ellen Barry, despite Barry having the higher ranking of the two.
