Marina Erakovic and doubles partner Arantxa Parra Santonja have been knocked out of the French Open in the quarter-finals after losing in straight sets.
They were beaten 7-5, 6-3 by Czech Lucie Hradecka and Michaella Krajicek of the Netherlands.
Krajicek is a former doubles partner of Erakovic. Erakovic was hoping to reach a grand slam semifinal for just the second time in her career.
Hradecka and Krajicek will now face Italian duo Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci for a spot in the final.
The tournament's second seeds eased by Australian's Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua 6-0, 6-1, giving Errani something to celebrate after being knocked out in the singles' quarterfinals by Andrea Petkovic.
