Tennis: Erakovic into quarters at Mexico

New Zealand tennis player Marina Erakovic is through to the quarterfinals of the US$25,000 Irapuato Challenger tournament in Mexico.

The world No 287, who beat Frenchwoman Alize Lim 6-2 6-0 in the first round, today ousted former world No 32 Olga Puchkova, of Russia, 6-2 3-6 7-6 (8) in a second round match to set up a quarterfinals date with American third seed Julia Cohen.
