Tennis: Erakovic into Pelham quarterfinals

New Zealand tennis player Marina Erakovic is into the quarterfinals of a US$25,000 ($32,800) Challenger tournament in the United States.

She beat American world No 154 Madison Brengle 6-4 6-3 in the second round today at Pelham, Alabama.

Erakovic, ranked at 229th, will next play Italian Giorgi Camila in the quarterfinals.

In her past three Challenge events Erakovic has reached the quarterfinals, won a title at Irapuato, Mexico, and is now into the last eight again.
