New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic has fallen in the second round at the lucrative Sony Ericsson Open in Miami today.
Erakovic lost 6-3, 6-4 to world number 24 Yanina Wickmayer in one hour and 23 minutes.
Erakovic struggled with her serve throughout the match, ending with a measly first-serve percentage of 38 percent.
Both players had trouble winning games on serve with five service games broken in the opening set. Erakovic's serve continued to fail her in the second set as he got just nine first serves over the net.
Wickmayer will face Kim Clijsters in the third round who defeated Julia Goerges in straight sets.
