New Zealand tennis player Marina Erakovic was beaten in her third round singles match at Wimbledon today.
In a gritty performance Erakovic lost 6-4 4-6 4-6 to Tamarine Tanasugarn of Thailand.
In making the third round of the celebrated London tournament the 20-year-old Aucklander emulated the feat of Wellington's Belinda Cordwell 20 years ago.
Tanasugarn, a good friend and practice partner of Erakovic, is a tour veteran at 31.
