New Zealand tennis player Marina Erakovic has this afternoon been beaten in the second round of the US$125,000 Hawaiian Open in Honolulu.
Erakovic ranked 107 was defeated by tournament top seed, Chinese No.1 and world No.23 Zheng Shuai 7-5 6-3 in one hour 37 minutes.
The Chinese player had the better of the match stats collecting five aces, although also five doubles faults. Erakovic was not able to hit any aces and made 10 double faults.
Sheng was successful with five out of eight break point opportunities while Erakovic managed two out of eight break point chances.
