New Zealand tennis No1 Marina Erakovic has recovered from her thumb injury and is back on court at the Fed Cup.
Erakovic, ranked 73rd in the world, will play in the main draw of the singles and doubles at the US$235,000 WTA event in Memphis.
She faces German Annika Beck in the first round of singles. In the doubles, Erakovic and her British partner Heather Watson play American Melanie Oudin and Kazakhstan's Ksenia Pervak.
Meanwhile, at the US$15,000 Melbourne Park International Futures tournament, Michael Venus has been defeated in the semifinals of the singles by fourth seed James Duckworth of Australia 6-3 6-3.
Earlier Venus had defeated world No1 junior and Australian Open junior champ Nick Kyrgios in the quarter-finals. Kyrgios had beaten Rubin Statham in three tight sets in the second round.
