New Zealand tennis number one Marina Erakovic has battled into the second round at the WTA tournament in Rio.
Erakovic has beaten Spaniard Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor 7-6,6-7, 6-2, the match taking just over three hours.
It's Erakovic's last WTA tournament main draw before she will have to play qualifying with her ranking languishing at 179 in the world.
