KEY POINTS:
Defending champion Philipp Kohlschreiber, of Germany, is through to the second round of the Heineken Open tennis tournament after an easy win over Dominik Hrbaty, of Slovakia, here today.
Kohlschreiber, the fifth seed, was in almost total command as he won 6-1 6-2 in just 52 minutes.
Hrbaty, a two-time former champion in the tournament on a wildcard, barely got going in the first set, winning just 10 points and going down in 20 minutes.
He made more of a fight of the second set, winning 17 points, but Kohlschreiber was rarely in trouble and did not have to defend a break point in the match.
Kohlschreiber next faces a rematch with last year's beaten finalist Juan Carlos Ferrero, of Spain, in the second round.
