Tennis: Defending champ through at Classic

Defending champion Katarina Srebotnik has advanced to the second round of the ASB Classic on the opening day of the tornament today.

She beat 2003 and 2004 champion Eleni Daniilidou in three sets 7-5 4-6 6-3.


Srebotnik said the variable winds made playing difficult.
