New Zealand tennis player Marcus Daniell will be playing one of the biggest matches of his life when he takes the court in his third round doubles clash at the US Open.
Daniell, ranked 58 in the world, has combined with American Brian Baker and now has a chance to make the quarter-finals of the US Open if they can defeat fourth seeds Jamie Murray (Britain) and Bruno Soares (Brazil).
The match will be played fourth on the show court Grandstand at around 8am New Zealand time.
It is the third time Daniell, 26, has reached the third round of a Grand Slam. He made the third round of Roland Garros this year and the third of Wimbledon last year.
After the US Open he will return to New Zealand to play Pakistan in the Asia/Oceania Group 1 Davis Cup tie at Wilding Park in Christchurch 16-18 September.
