Tennis: Classic's fourth seed safely through

Fourth seed Francesca Schiavone of Italy has easily progressed to the second round of the ASB tennis Classic in Auckland.

She was too strong for French qualifier Stephanie Cohen-Aloro 6-2 6-3.

Kiwi number two Marina Erakovic is up next on centre court against Frenchwoman Alize Corney.
