New Zealand Davis Cup tennis player, Michael Venus has reached a career-high doubles ranking on the ATP tour confirmed this afternoon.
After reaching the final of the Metz ATP tournament in France with Mate Pavic (Croatia) in what was their seventh final of the year (four titles, three runners-up finishes) Venus has seen his ranking improve four places to the best of his career, 37 in the world.
Venus and Pavic are the third seeds at the Shenzhen tournament in China this week where they face a Chinese wildcard team in the first round.
Also moving to his best ranking is Marcus Daniell who has risen to a career-high 53.
Daniell will this week play at the big Orleans Challenger in France teaming with Brazilian Marcelo Demoliner where they are the top seeds.
