The Auckland summer has failed to show up to the party for today's ASB Classic final, meaning the singles final between Flavia Pennetta and Jie Zheng will be played tomorrow morning.
With steady rain falling all day in Auckland, tournament director Richard Palmer this afternoon confirmed the final will be rescheduled for 11am tomorrow, weather permitting.
That shouldn't be a problem, with the MetService projecting just 0.1mm of rain between 11am and noon.
The doubles final, featuring Pennetta and Julia Goerges against Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka, will go ahead later this afternoon under the roof of one of Stanley St's outer courts, with play scheduled to start at 5:30pm.
