Tennis Auckland's chief executive for 21 years, Graham Pearce, will be stepping down later this year.
Chairman Alan Chester said today that Pearce's contribution had been "immense from the development of the ASB Classic and Heineken Open tournaments into world class events, to his election as the tournaments' representative to the global board of ATP for three successive terms".
The building of Auckland's Scarbro Tennis Centre and health of clubs in Auckland were also testament to his hard work and dedication, Chester said.
Pearce would continue his involvement with Tennis Auckland working closely with a yet to be appointed replacement chief executive, coordinating the ASB Tennis Centre re-development and related projects, as well as continuing on the board of ATP.
