Auckland's ASB Tennis Classic will use Hawkeye technology for the first time at this summer's WTA and ATP tournaments.
The technology is used extensively at the Grand Slams and big tournaments around the world.
Players are allowed two challenges per set to review line calls and retain the challenge if they are successful.
Sky Television has confirmed Hawkeye will be used and tournament director Karl Budge says there's a six figure cost involved.
Budge says they always have aspirations of being one of the leading tournaments on the tour and it's something they've fallen behind on over the last couple of years.
