Auckland Tennis officials could be about to score the coup of the year.
Former world number one Justine Henin is understood to be tossing up whether to start her WTA Tour comeback next year at Auckland's ASB Classic or the following week in Sydney.
Belgian television journalist and friend of Henin's, Inge van Meensel, says Justine will not start her comeback at Auckland's rival tournament Brisbane, because Kim Clijsters is playing there.
She said Clijsters and Henin are completely different personalities but respect each other and would probably not start the year at the same event.
Van Meensel said her gut feeling is Henin would probably prefer to start in Sydney where she has played before and there are a lot of top players participating, but if Henin decides to play the first week of the year, Auckland is the obvious choice.
Van Meensel said Henin and her coach may prefer the idea of a lower-profile start in Auckland.
Henin will make a decision on where she will play in the next couple of weeks.
