Artem Sitak's change in doubles partner for the grass court season already looks like it is paying dividends.
The Kiwi was dumped by Dutch partner Wesley Koolhof after the clay court season, despite reaching the third round of the French Open and making five tour level finals together. Sitak has teamed up with Indian left hander Divij Sharan at the ATP 250 tournament in s-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands and they have won through to the semi finals.
They've beaten Luxembourg's Gilles Muller and Monaco's Romain Arneodo 7-6 (2) 6-3 in 1 hr 12. It's their second straight sets win and the Kiwi is wrapped with how they have combined in their first week together.
"We love the grass and we are combining really well on it, when we are both at the net, it's tough to get around us." Sitak said.
"I like our lefty righty combination, I think if we keep doing the basics well, serving at a high percentage and keep making the ball on the returns, we can get a lot of wins during this grass court season."
