Two of ASB Classic 2018's biggest men's names paid a visit to Ronald McDonald House in Auckland this weekend to help raise money for the charity.
Smash for Cash saw Roberto Bautista Agut, from Spain, and Joao Sousa, from Portugal, go head to head to see who could raise the most money by hitting tennis balls through holes on a makeshift tennis court. Each hole had an attached dollar value ranging from $100 to $300.
Together the pair raised $2700 to support the important work of Ronald McDonald House Charities New Zealand.
Families and children staying at Ronald McDonald House also got the chance to have a shot, perfect their serve with help from the professionals and speak to the players and get their autographs after the activities.
RMHC chief executive Wayne Howett said the money donated by ASB will help provide vital accommodation and support to families with a child in hospital.
