New Zealand tennis players are in form in doubles around the world this week.
Mike Venus and Mate Pavic have won their first round match at the Stockholm ATP event. They defeated the Skupski brothers Ken and Neal from Britain7-6(3) 6-4 and face a Swedish wildcard pair in the quarter-finals.
Artem Sitak and Nicholas Monroe have won into the quarters at the European Open, new Antwerp ATP event in straight sets. In the quarters they will play third seeds Oliver Marach (Austria) and Frenchman Fabrice Martin who had defeated Kiwi Marcus Daniell and Brazilian Marcelo Demoliner in the first round.
In Las Vegas at a US$50,000 Challenger Ben McLachlan and Aussie Jarryd Chaplin are into the quarters after an easy 6-2 6-1 in just over half an hour against Guilherme Clezar (Brazil) and Luiz David Martinez (Venezuela). They come up against the big-serving team of Sam Groth (Australia) and Peter Polansky (Canada) for a place in the semifinals.
