All three Kiwi mens doubles pairings are scheduled to play on Wednesday 18 January, the third day of the Australian Open with temperatures set to reach the mid 30s although there is some threat of showers.
Leading the way is Artem Sitak and American Nicholas Monroe who play first up on court 22 at 11am (1pm NZ time) against James Cerretani (USA) and Philipp Oswald (Austria) in their first round match.
They are then followed on the same court by a second Kiwi pair of Marcus Daniell and Brazilian partner Marcelo Demoliner who face Guillermo Duran (Argentina) and Joao Sousa (Portugal).
"We manage to hit a lot on the match courts in the last few days, although we had to hit very early in the day and later as well, but we got used to the courts and we are ready to play as the first match on court. Were looking forward to it and are keen to do well," said Sitak.
The third pairing featuring a Kiwi is Michael Venus and Robert Lindstedt (Sweden) who are second on court five and play the German team of Andre Bermann and Jan-Lennard Struff.
