New Zealand tennis No.1 Marina Erakovic is through to the second round of qualifying at Wimbledon after she beat Brazilian, Paula Christina Goncalves 6-4 6-3 in her first round match this morning.
Erakovic currently ranked 149 in the world will now take on Polands Urszula Radwanska in the second round third on court 10 early tomorrow morning NZ time.
Radwanska is ranked 151st and clashed with Erakovic a couple of weeks ago at Mallorca with the Kiwi coming away the winner 6-3 6-2. Overall they are equal 2-2 in head-to-head matches.
To win a main draw place at Wimbledon Erakovic would need to win three matches.
