KEY POINTS:
Kiwi Marina Erakovic has been bundled out of the ASB Classic in straight sets by France's Aravane Rezai.
Rezai took the match 6-3 7-5 and now plays star attraction Lindsay Davenport, who clinched a place in the final with a straight-sets victory over Austrian Tamira Paszek.
The unseeded Davenport won 6-4 6-3 in one hour 13 minutes to make her third final in four events since her comeback in September after giving birth to her first child.
The American made a slow start, dropping her serve in the first game of the match, but she picked up her game and her heavier serving and ground strokes carried her home.
The sixth-seeded Paszek, just 17, was the only seed left among the last four and she saved set and match points before going down.
The other semifinal is between New Zealand wild card Marina Erakovic and Frenchwoman Aravane Rezai.
