World no.1 Caroline Wozniacki has recovered from a wrist injury and will be ready to play when the Australian Open begins on Monday.
Whether she is ready to finally win her first grand slam singles title is another matter.
A wrist injury that flared in Sydney last week placed a doubt over the Danish player, but after practising at Melbourne Park on Saturday she declared herself fully fit.
"I'll be ready to play on Monday," Wozniacki said.
"I'm looking forward to it. It's exciting to start the first grand slam of the year."
