KEY POINTS:
Beaten Auckland men's open finalist Tommy Robredo will move ahead of Andy Roddick in the ATP Tour rankings today despite the American beating world No 1 Roger Federer on Saturday.
The Spaniard is set to move ahead of Roddick because he was playing a Tour event and Roddick played Federer in an exhibition tournament in Melbourne where no ranking points were up for grabs.
Robredo was No 7 in the world, one place and 40 rankings points below Roddick, before the Heineken Open in Auckland. Preliminary calculations by ATP staff suggest he will move up to 2455 tour points as a result of making the Auckland final, ahead of Roddick on 2415, putting Robredo at No 6.
Winner David Ferrer looks set to jump two places to No 14, leaping ahead of teen stars Novak Djokovic, of Serbia, and Andy Murray, of Britain.
