Marina Erakovic's decision to play late season WTA tournaments in Taiwan and Hawaii has paid off.
The New Zealand tennis number one has made the Australian Open main draw with her current ranking of 105, just inside the cut off of 107.
Erakovic who has struggled for much of the year made the semi finals in the Taiwan tournament.
By making the Australian Open main draw she will be guaranteed more than 40 thousand dollars even if she loses in the first round.
Erakovic will need a wildcard for next month's ASB Classic before heading across the Tasman.
