New Zealander Sacha Jones was bundled out of the Australian Open tennis qualifying tournament in straight sets by China's Meng Yuan in Melbourne today.
Yuan, ranked 122nd in the world, beat 321st-ranked Jones 6-1 6-4 in their first round match.
Jones, 17, of Auckland, was granted a wildcard entry into the qualifying tournament by Australian Open organisers.
Compatriot Marina Erakovic was scheduled to face former world No 4 Jelena Dokic in her first round qualifying match later today.
