New Zealand tennis No.1 Marina Erakovic doesn't have much of a break after reaching the doubles final at the Hobart WTA event over the weekend as she steps onto the court for her first round singles clash today at the Australian Open.
Erakovic, ranked 61 in the world, will play French qualifier Irena Pavlovic in the first-round match.
It's the fourth match of the day on court 15, meaning Erakovic will play at about 4pm Australian time (6pm NZT).
Erakovic and Pavlovic (who is ranked at 218th) have played twice previously. Pavlovic won the Challenger event in straight sets in 2007, however Erakovic was a three-set winner in qualifying at the Australian Open last year.
