Tennis: Dellacqua no match for Davenport

MELBOURNE - World tennis No 1 Lindsay Davenport crushed Australian Casey Dellacqua today to move into the second round of the Australian Open.

The American, winner of the tournament in 2000, beat the 20-year-old left-hander 6-2 6-1.

Ranked No 180 in the world, Dellacqua was unable to pressure Davenport at any stage, dropping her first serve in the opening set and twice in the second set.
