Third seed Victoria Azarenka has raced into the second round of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park.
The Bulgarian whipped young Englishwoman Heather Watson 6-1 6-0 in what was barely a warm-up.
However, she said later that while she won easily, she was wary before the match.
"Definitely, and I think when I was playing one of my first Australian Opens, someone was looking at me the same way,'' Azarenka said.
"She came out and she worked hard and she's a great girl and a great player.''
Azarenka defeated China's Li Na in the Sydney International last week and now says she is getting recognised by Chinese tennis fans in Australia.
She said she would be preparing for an intense campaign over the next fortnight.
"I'm just trying to take it match by match and see how it goes but I'm sure it's going to be a hell of a competition,'' she said.
