Germany's Anke Huber said yesterday that she would end her career after this week's WTA Championships and would not play in next month's Fed Cup finals.
Germany replaced the United States after the defending Fed Cup champions pulled out of the competition, scheduled for Madrid from November 7-11, because of security concerns.
Huber, 26, had first said she wanted to retire after next year's Australian Open, before saying the WTA Championships starting today in Munich would be her last tournament.
