The summer sport season begins in Auckland today with the start of the Scarbro Caro Bowl tennis competition.
Defending men's champions Parnell play beaten finalists West End. Parnell will use a team from Dan King-Turner, Andrew Batie, Alistair Hunt, Matt Prentice, Jacob Olsen and Steve Downs.
They take on a side potentially made up of G.D. Jones, Adam Thompson, ex-top 200 player Mark Nielsen, Martin Colenbrander, plus James Greenhalgh, along with former Davis Cup player Teo Susnjak and former South African pro Wesley Whitehouse.
