With the NRL regular season coming to an end this weekend many punters look set to cash in on season long bets.

One punter is so confident that the Melbourne Storm will hold on to top spot on the ladder this weekend that they placed a $50,000 wager on the Storm to win the minor premiership at $1.15 last Sunday while another $10,000 bet was placed on same selection back on July 25 when the Storm were paying $3.00.

There are also a host of Multis set to pay out once the minor premiership is decided, including a $10 ticket that will return the owner $2,230.80 if the Storm stay top of the ladder.

In the Mitre 10 Cup, one match that has the bookies one their toes all week is Wellington's clash with Southland on Friday night. The Lions opened as 33.5 point favourites however that line quickly shot out to 36.5 points after a flood of early money on the home side.
