TAB: Rugby Championship betting trends - All Blacks versus South Africa

It's all one way traffic in the early betting for Saturday night's test match between the All Blacks and Springboks.

The Springboks' last win in New Zealand came way back in 2009 and the $8.50 on offer for them to end that drought this weekend has not been enough to entice punters into backing the visitors.

Over 96 per cent of the money in the Head to Head market, including bets of $12,431 and $10,000, is currently backing the All Blacks, who have shortened from $1.07 when the market opened to their current price of $1.05.

It's more of the same in the Points Start market where the All Blacks opened as 21.5 point favourites and have now moved out to -22.5 due to over 90 per cent of the money in the book being wagered on the All Blacks covering.

All Blacks 13 & Over has also been absolutely hammered by the punters in the Winning Team & Margin market where more than 80 per cent of the money has come in in support of the All Blacks winning by the 13+ point margin.

In the Winning Team & Margin (10 pt) market, New Zealand by 21-30 has again been a popular selection and it's easy to see why, with all three of the All Blacks' Rugby Championship victories falling within that range.

If the All Blacks can win with a bonus point they will wrap up the Rugby Championship and please a lot of futures punters, one in particular who put $50,000 on the All Blacks as outright winner at $1.18.

It would also secure a $14,748.50 return to a multi punter who staked $889 on a five leg bet back in May.

The punters are also backing Beauden Barrett to continue his heroics after his four try performance last time he donned the black jersey. Barrett is the most backed option for first try scorer closely followed by Rieko Ioane.
