TAB punter's unlikely $13 bet nets six figure payout

A TAB punter has turned $13 into a six-figure payout after a near-improbable stroke of luck.

The punter from Waikato, who wanted to remain anonymous, won $220,000 on an eight leg multi-bet consisting of six football matches and two netball matches.

The TAB said five of the football bets required a draw result.

One of those games' equalisers was scored in added time at the 91st minute. Another draw was 0-0 -- despite there being 23 shots during the game.

The TAB said the netball games required teams to win by between 1-5. One game won by 4 and the other by 5.

The final football leg also needed a draw. The final score was 1-1 -- with both goals being own goals.
