Swimming: Trial date for Phelps

United States Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps' drunk driving trial has been set for December 29.

Phelps, 19, who won eight Olympic medals in Athens in August, was stopped by police on November 4 for running a stop sign in Salisbury, Maryland. He acknowledged after his arrest that he had made a mistake.
