New Zealand swimmers Melissa Ingram and Glenn Snyders were both on the podium on the first day of the second FINA World Cup meet in Doha today.
Ingram won silver in the women's 200m backstroke behind Ukraine's Daryna Zevina in 2:04.95, which was faster than in the opening round in Dubai and again under the qualifying time for December world short course championships.
The North Shore swimmer pushed into the top 15 times in the world this year with her swim today. She was also fifth in the 200m freestyle final in 1:57.66.
Clubmate Snyders was third in the 50m breaststroke, clocking 26.68 seconds and breaking his New Zealand record by 0.2secs set in the World Cup meet in Berlin last year.
Olympic 100m breaststroke champion Cameron van der Burgh won in 25.95secs from South African compatriot Roland Schoeman.
