Two significant records were broken at the Auckland swimming relay champs at the West Wave Aquatic Centre in Henderson yesterday.
The all-international relay of Alison Fitch, Hannah McLean, Helen Norfolk and Liz Coster from the North Shore Club finished in a record time of 4m 12.66s for the 400m medley taking over 3s off the previous mark of 4m 17.80s set last year.
The North Shore men's 400 medley also broke a record. The time of 3m 48.47s took Glenn Synders, Cameron Gibson, Corney Swanepoel and Dean Burger just under the record of 3m 49.78s, which had stood since 1999.
