New Zealand swimmer Hannah McLean has continued her impressive form at the world championships after qualifying for the 50m women's backstroke final in Montreal today.
Mclean, 24, clocked 28.99 seconds in the semifinal setting a new New Zealand record and qualifying in the eighth and final position.
Compatriot Elizabeth Coster, who yesterday swam 29.04sec to break McLean's old New Zealand record, missed out on a finals berth after swimming 29.15sec to finish 11th.
Today's result follow's McLean's fifth place in the 100m backstroke final.
