Auckland swimmer Corey Main has qualified for July's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The Howick Pakuranga swimmer, who is on a scholarship at the University of Florida, slipped under the qualifying time in the 100m backstroke at the national championships in West Auckland today.
Main, 19, produced a personal best 54.47 seconds to head the qualifiers for the final, with Dunedin's Kurt Crosland just 0.3s outside the qualifying mark for Glasgow.
Main also qualified for the 200m freestyle final, which was headed by Coast's Steven Kent in 1min 49.52s.
Defending champion and national record holder Matthew Stanley was third fastest - the pair being separated by Australian-based North Shore swimmer Mitchell Donaldson, in a personal best 1:50.04.
