Olympic champion Liu Zige wiped a stunning 1.6s off the world record in the women's 200m butterfly at China's National Games yesterday.
Liu was timed in 2m 1.81s, domestic news agency Xinhua reported, eclipsing the previous world mark of 2:03.41 set by Australian Jessicah Schipper in July.
