Former Olympian Jon Winter looks likely to be given a lifeline as he attempts to be reinstated as head coach of the Hastings Charitable Swimming Trust.
Trust member Pat Benson would not go into detail but hoped for a positive outcome.
Winter, 33, was told his contract with the trust would end on May 24, despite his successful record.
However, after an outcry from parents, who were not consulted about his sacking, things are looking positive for Winter. Benson said the outcome would be known next week.
