Champion New Zealand swimmers Sophie Pascoe and Mary Fisher continued their dominance of their events with a brace of gold medals at the IPC world championships in Montreal.
Christchurch's Pascoe won her third gold medal in as many events when she triumphed in her S10 category 100m butterfly final, and in a world record time. It is the event in which she won one of her three gold medals at last year's Paralympics in London.
Pascoe, a below the knee amputee, had set a world best mark in winninHg her heat earlier in the day, I 1min 04.39s. She then dipped under that in another dominant swim in the final, clocking 1:03.95.
Poland's Oliwia (crrt) Jablonski took silver in 1:08.54, while France's Elodie Lorandi won bronze in 1:08.93.
Fisher has secured her fourth gold medal out of five events so far at the championships.
The 20-year-old from Wellington, who is visually impaired, was 2.7s clear at the 50m turn and romped away to win the 100m butterfly final in the S11 category in 1min16.08s.
