New Zealand swimmers have won 13 medals, including five golds, at the Australian age group championships in Brisbane.
The gold medals were won by Kelly Bentley, of Wellington, Aucklander Glenn Snyders, John Gatfield, of Wellington, Jordyn Mahanga, of Hawkes Bay, and Cara Baker, of Manawatu.
Bentley set a national age group record in the 100m breaststroke for 16 years, clocking one minute 11.38 seconds in the final.
Snyders won the 100m breaststroke final for 17-18 years in 1m 3.84s and Gatfield took the 100m backstroke 14 years title in 1m 0.23s.
Mahanga won the girls' 15 years 200m breaststroke final in 2m 37.71s and Baker took out the 14 years 200m individual medley in 2m 23.38s.
Baker also won silver medals in the 400m freestyle, 200m freestyle and 200m individual medley.
Sndyers also collected a second medal, claiming silver in the 100m breaststroke.
Two silver medals went to Wellington's Mark Turner in the 13 years 100m backstroke and Chad Konik, of Auckland, in the 14 years 100m breaststroke.
Two bronze medals were won by Masterton's William Prior in the 15 years 200m freestyle and Amini Fonua, of Auckland, in the 15 years 200m breaststroke.
