Two events, two gold medals; Mary Fisher is maintaining a rousing run of form at the IPC world swimming championships in Montreal.
The Wellington swimmer, who has a genetic eye condition, followed her victory in the S11 category 100m backstroke on the opening day with a win in the 50m freestyle yesterday.
Fisher clocked 31.36s for the one-length sprint, .42s outside the world mark set by Italian Cecilia Camellini in London last year.
Fisher, 20, has already grabbed six world records this year and her form suggests she is building rapidly on the gold, two silvers and a bronze-medal haul from the Paralympics.
She has the 400m freestyle, in which she was fourth at the London Paralympics last year, today, followed by the 100m freestyle and butterfly before ending with her favoured event, the 200m individual medley on the final day of competition on Monday.
