Lauren Boyle completed a hat trick of Commonwealth Games qualifying performances on the final morning of the New Zealand swimming championships in West Auckland today.
The Aucklander dominated the heats of the 400m freestyle, clocking 4min 06.49s, just over a second inside the qualifying time for Glasgow in July. She had earlier qualified for the 200m and 800m freestyle. She was 13s ahead of her closest rival today.
Wellington's Samantha Lee was top qualifier in the 200m butterfly in 2:15.26, while North Shore's Mitchell Donaldson was fastest in heats of the 200m individual medley in 2:02.86.
In the battle of the fast men, defending champion Nielsen Varoy from West Auckland Aquatics was fastest in the 50m freestyle heats in 23.24s ahead of Howick Pakuranga's Daniel Hunter.
