Five further Kiwi swimmers qualified for finals last night with North Shore's Shaun Burnett fourth in the 200m butterfly in 2:00.04 with Wellington's Liam Albery sixth in 2:02.58 and fourth in the 1500m freestyle in 15:58.71.
Wellington's Isaac Foote was eighth behind Burnett and Albery in the 200m butterfly in 2:06.42, talented teen Bobbi Gichard from Hawkes Bay was seventh in the 200m backstroke in 2:19.29, won by Australian superstar Emily Seebohm, who recently won five medals at the world short course championships.
Otago's Andrew Trembath rounded out the New Zealand performances when he was eighth in the 200m backstroke in 2:08.34.
The meet continues until Friday.
